Internships

The Bangkok Office of the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung regularly offers internships to students who want to experience the working environment of a political foundation and who have completed at least the first three years of their studies but also recent graduates. A study background in political science, sociology, economics or related areas of study has proven to be most advantageous. Any social engagement and interest in international cooperation is welcome.

Tasks

Besides independent preparation and organisation of conferences and visitor programmes, participation in seminars and workshops, research and writing of texts and papers, assistance in daily office work, it is possible to identify an area of particular interest. The duration of the internship should not be less than 3 months and should not be more than 6 months. This is an unpaid internship and FES cannot offer any compensation for any expenses during the stay. You should be open-minded to the surrounding and the culture and be able to adapt to a certain degree.

Application

In order to arrange a possible assignment, the English-written application should be submitted well in advance. The consideration process will begin earliest six months prior to the desired internship period. Thereby, the following items have to be included:

Scholarships

Your idealism alone does not change your society as also a good education is required. Therefore, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung awards scholarships for graduate and post-graduate programmes to students and academics with outstanding qualifications, social commitment and personality. In 2010, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung supports 2400 graduate and post-graduate students.
